Life has a way of pulling us in many directions. Sometimes, in the process of caring for others, we begin to feel disconnected from ourselves, our relationships, and what keeps us grounded. Whether you are a therapist, parent, teacher, partner, or caregiver in another form, you deserve a space where you can be cared for, too.
I’m Summer Brown, a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist and owner of Roots Wellness Studio. I created Roots to be a place where people can reconnect with themselves, strengthen relationships, and grow in ways that feel authentic and sustainable. Whether you are seeking therapy or looking for a professional space to support your own work, my hope is that Roots feels welcoming the moment you walk through the door.
I especially enjoy supporting caregivers, helping emerging adults navigate life’s transitions, working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships, and people exploring identity, communication, boundaries and meaningful connections.
My approach blends evidence-based practices with genuine curiosity. Rather than expecting people to fit into one approach, I believe therapy should be tailored to the person— not the other way around. Together we will build on your strengths while creating space for growth, healing, and lasting change.
Outside of therapy sessions, you’ll usually find me caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, creating art, or dreaming up new ways for Roots to thrive as a space for healing wellness and community.
Take care,
Summer
